3.4 TestPlot

Test printing is performed as shown in the following procedure, and confirm that the plotter correctly works.

1The plotter is turned ON and more than A3 size of roll media or sheet media is loaded.

2Confirm that the plotter functions normally.
3Press the [Menu] key on the operation panel.

Operation panel displays "*Menu* TestPlot>".
The setup menu display will be displayed.
4Press the [Enter] key on the operation panel.

Operation panel displays " TestPlot: SetupPlot."
Display shifts to TestPlot menu.
5Press the [Setting value +] key or [Setting value-] key on the operation panel, and select the item to print from the followings, and press the [Enter] key.

6Start Plot for the selected item.

3.4.1 SetupPlot

It is used for checking the setup item of the current plotter.

Paste the setting list on this page.
Refer to the following for printing procedure.

3.4.2 NozzleCheck

It is used for checking whether there is any clogging head, missing or blurred prints.

If the nozzle check result indicates that the checked points are blurred or missing, clean the head.

Perform the nozzle check once again at the end of the work.

3.4.3 AdjustPlot

It is used while adjusting for the optimum quality of image print.

This plotter has been adjusted for the optimum quality of image printing at the shipment from factory.
Adjust the quality when the print quality is changed after the installation environment or the media is changed.

Adjust the quality as shown in the following procedure.

1Turn ON the power of the plotter.
2Set more than A3 size print media.
3Adjust the print accuracy for the alignment as shown in "3.4 TestPlot".

4Check the print sample and select the number which matches as the straight line.
5Press the [Setting value +] key or [Setting value-] key on the operation panel, and enter the selected number.

6Press the [Enter] key on the operation panel and register the value.

3.4.4 PalettePlot

It is used when comparing the CAD pen color and the print color.

3.4.5 Maintenance

It is used for checking the parts life of the plotter.

Parts life is expressed as number of graphics/STAR.gif marks for each item (Maximum of five: denoting the residual life is 100 %).
As the parts life is getting nearer, the number of graphics/STAR.gif marks decreases one by one (20 %).
When all graphics/STAR.gif marks disappear, the parts life has ended. Replace parts referring to the followings.
